2013 NOVEMBER ALBUM RELEASES News

A Norwegian Beyonce fan claims that she confirmed a November release date of her hugely anticipated fifth album, after meeting the superstar at a gig. The fan was quizzed about her encounter with Beyonce in the Norwegian press, stating that she asked …

A native of Mount Isa, Queensland, Childs is an avid guitar player and vocalist who specialises in the genre of good old fashioned rock and roll. He spent most of his childhood growing up in Sydney, the son of a Serbian mother and Croatian father, and created his first band at the tender age of thirteen, naming it Over the Top. After graduating from high school, he formed a second band with his friends and christened the new group Masonia, which achieved some minor fame in 2004. Sadly, the band dissolved four years later – so, at the time that Altiyan Childs was auditioning for The X-Factor, he was but a humble forklift driver based in Sydney.

Since then, Childs has come a long way. After emerging from The X-Factor fresh with victory and acclaim from some of television’s toughest judges, Childs wasted no time signing an impressive and lucrative recording contract with none other than Sony Music Australia, and his wildly popular debut single “Somewhere in the World” was made available for electronic downloading shortly after his win on The X-Factor in November. On December 10, 2013, Altiyan Childs released his first ever solo album throughout Australia, and was certified as platinum within only a week of its fresh release to the public. Since then, it has claimed the sought after number three spot on the New Zealand Albums Chart, where it has been certified gold.

The album mostly consists of covers of popular and widely acclaimed classic rock hits. Its track listing includes Altiyan Childs’ own unique renditions of “Livin’ On A Prayer,” which has already achieved fame in the world of popular covers through American hit television musical series Glee, “Eye of the Tiger,” “Summer of ’69,” “Beautiful Day,” and of course winner’s very own hit single “Somewhere in the World.” Childs’ evocative performances of these classic pieces have garnered high praise from critics and consumers alike. Other songs on the album include “Hey, Soul Sister,” “Blaze of Glory,” “Never Tear Us Apart,” “The Lady in Red,” “The Living Years,” and “Sex on Fire.”

While clearly intending to follow in the footsteps of such rock legends as Bono, Kings of Leon, and Bon Jovi, among other widely acclaimed artists that Childs has successfully covered, it is nonetheless clear that Childs makes music his own. While performing his own spins on old songs, Childs remains true to his own musical voice, and an impressive voice it is. This is, after all, the man who won on The X-Factor – hardly an easy feat, especially considering how difficult it is to even get past the first round of auditions!

Thought you were all set for the holiday season? Well here comes a group of independent artists who can finish up anyone’s shopping list. FallsStart is a band of independent artists in the indie rock genre. They are releasing their first album “Casūs Incīpīunt” for digital download on Halloween, October 31st. The album will be available on iTunes and Amazon MP3. You can also connect with them via Facebook, MySpace, YouTube, ReverbNation, last.fm, and Twitter, or check out their website at www.fallsstart.com!!

FallsStart hit the studio for their debut album Casūs Incīpīunt in the summer of 2013. With literally 6 hours of practice before entering the studio and the unforgiving time constraint of less than one month, FallsStart members displayed truly inspirational musical skill and optimism. “The small amount of time we have had together and in the studio for this project may affect the outcome, but in the end it’ll be part of what we consider the artistic touch on this album” says Lead Guitarist, Adrian Cottmeyer. Adrian knew the costs involved and still pressed on digging into life savings and using every last dime he could find to make this a reality for the rest of the band. The lead singer/songwriter David Leatherwood had dreamed of this since he was a small child and Adrian wasn’t going to let money stand in the way of his dream.

Casūs Incīpīunt meshes a quick guitar driven foundation with melodic vocals and unpredictable drum patterns to create a beautiful yet gritty Indie Rock sound. “This music is incredibly inspirational considering the writing uniqueness shown by the band which leads us into new licks and grooves with MESH like no other” says Percussionist, Jaron Seuis.

With technically driven tracks like “Lost Romance” and Indie Rock Ballads such as
